From clinical psychology to Product Design.
I’m Dayanna Cardenas, a Colombian Product Designer based near Paris. My first professional work was in clinical psychology in Colombia, with real patients in supervised clinical settings. I learned there to listen carefully, work with partial information and understand a person in context.
I moved to France in 2020. The shift into design wasn’t a clean plan I had from the start. I studied digital strategy, worked in digital project management, and then moved into Product Design. At Société Générale I worked on complex B2B products with business, Product, IT and Design teams, often across countries and in English.
Today I like being able to move between different parts of the work: talking with people, mapping a workflow, designing the interface and staying close to implementation. I don’t see them as completely separate stages; they are different ways of understanding the same product.

Spanish, French and English, with business, product, design and technical teams.
Off the clock
There is another part of the story outside work: Colombia and France, the origin of Day, the places I stop to photograph, drawing, family projects and things I’m still learning.
